IBBA (International Business Brokers Association)

The IBBA is the International Business Brokers Association, the largest professional association for business brokers and M&A intermediaries in the world, with members across the United States, Canada, and internationally. The IBBA awards the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation, publishes the Market Pulse Survey (a quarterly report on small and mid-market transaction activity), and provides professional development and networking resources.

In Canada, business brokers can also be found through IBBA Canada (the Association of Business Brokers in Canada). Its public highlights report average multiples, cash at close and deal activity by deal size; the survey covers US brokers and advisors.
