IBBA (International Business Brokers Association)

The IBBA is the International Business Brokers Association, the largest professional association for business brokers and M&A intermediaries in the world, with members across the United States, Canada, and internationally. The IBBA awards the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation, publishes the Market Pulse Survey (a quarterly report on small and mid-market transaction activity), and provides professional development and networking resources.

In Canada, business brokers may hold membership in both the IBBA and the Canadian Association of Business Brokers (CABB). The IBBA's Market Pulse Survey is widely cited in Canadian business valuation and brokerage contexts as a benchmark for transaction multiples and deal activity.
